Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness are not just words to say.
Great is Thy faithfulness is Truth!
We have lived it.
We have experienced it!

God is loving and faithful to all His promises.

There is much I want to share here in this place about God’s faithfulness to us in the days surrounding Dad’s entrance into Glory. I think it will need to be in bits and pieces to make it doable. We are still trying to wrap our minds around it all, feeling much comfort in the love you have shown us and still there is a sadness because we miss him so. And that’s okay.

Dad’s Celebration of Life was a beautiful day… cold, but beautiful. Dad was honored and God was exalted. Here is the slideshow that we began the service with. Dad had something to share with us… it is his voice you will hear.

Taking a few days away to rest. Then I will be back to share more. Until then “keep on keeping on”!

  2. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. I am sure tht I have heard this testimony before, but can’t remember all of it. I was about 13 years old. It is so wonderful to hear Brother Art’s voice again and it is such a blessing. It is exactly as I remembered and is so refreshing. This is a fantastic thing. What a full and beautiful and Godly life Brother Art had and Evy still has. I am sure things are very hard for you letting go of your Dad. There is nothing unspiritual about hurting. There is a season to rejoice, laugh, a time for war and a time for weeping. Now is the time for weeping mingled with the joy of knowing exactly where Brother Art is. He is safe at home with the Lord and will always be in his prime. With love to you your family and Evy. She is a strong woman, and so are you. Cry every time you feel like it! I do.

(My mother Audrey sends her love and sympathy.)

  4. What an awesome tribute to your father, Art and your mother Evy, as she was indeed his helpmate as God intended. To hear his own voice giving his testimony brought back memories (and tears) of Art’s compassion to reach the lost and to challenge us to get off the pews and help evangelize the lost. Thank you for sharing in a most creative manner.

  5. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU… I have not stopped thinking about that video since I saw it at the service. I have been CRAVING to hear it and see it again. I am not quite sure at this point why it has affected me this way. I always wished I could have heard your Dad speak…and when I did, it was…well, I can’t seem to put it into words. SOOTHING, GLORIOUS, MOVING, COMFORTING…these are just some of the words I feel when I hear and watch it. Thank you Ruthi for posting this…God heard my prayers again! I have said it before and I will say it again, my life has been so blessed by you, your Mom and your family…I am so grateful and so thankful. It is hard not seeing your Dad, Mom and you on pretty much a daily basis, but you will FOREVER hold a special place in my heart for the inspiration you have been in my life. I know I will be watching this video often, even though the tears pour. There is just something about it…maybe it was my deep desire to know your Dad before he got sick…I don’t know. I do know how thankful I am now to have this remembrance of ART! Thank you so much!! I will see you and your Mom soon. All my love!

  6. Wow, God is awesome and you have shared His love through your own love of Him and your father. Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute! It helps give me strength to see my father in two days, after not seeing him for almost five years, earlier on for almost 30 years. He has terminal cancer, trying to be strong. I will continue to plant seeds of faith with him. Thank you for all that you and your family have and continue to do for our Lord and Savior….Great is Thy Faithfulness…..His and yours!

  8. From another PLANT HIGHer — one who loved the man because of his love for Jesus. Now, I understand even more the words, “He shall wipe away all tears”. Thanks Ruthi. Our love and prayers with the family. Thanks for your note Evy. The battle is over… the victory is won!! We shall reign with Him forever.

  9. Hi Ruthi, thanks so much for posting the service and the photos. As soon as my mom told me about the slideshow from the celebration service I said – maybe she’ll post it on her blog! I never dreamed I’d get to hear “Uncle Art’s” voice again nor to be able to participate in the service by listening to it. Your dad was a great man and I loved him very much. He’s been a special person throughout my life and your mom is an inspiration in so many ways. Thank you for carrying on their ministry. Love, Mindy Comincioli (Clayt & Marilyn Irmeger’s daughter)
