somebody turned two!

October is the month we celebrate Prince Charming’s birthday, and I cannot believe he is TWO! His parents hosted a FUN birthday party for him. A fishing game, ring toss, trucks, and a sensory table kept the kids and adults happily entertained. It was a beautiful blur, watching the joy of childhood play. Even the photographs.  By the end of the day, it was discovered that Prince Charming had turned into the mini sweet potato muffin bandit. Every time you saw him he was popping one in his mouth. And what birthday boy wouldn’t want “pizza pie” for dinner.  We “Facetimed” with his cousins, Cool Dude and Sweat Pea, so they could be a part of the celebration. Baby Girl, either slept or found her way into someone’s arms to be cuddled.

The next day, his actual birthday, his Mama and I took him to our favorite little lunch place. We have been going there with him since he was in the womb. Seemed a fitting place to go. We sat at a table where he could watch the train. ABC pancakes decorated with candles and a Prince’s crown made by his Mama, made the day. I hope when he’s eighteen he will still let me take him there.

Prince Charming, you are a delight to your Nana. Your hugs and kisses always warm my soul, your laughter is contagious, and I think your vocabulary is larger than mine! I love the adventure of being your Nana. And guess what! Cool Dude and Sweet Pea are coming for a visit soon. WooHoo!
