October has been a very busy month…
house guests, helping with a wedding,
and now doing a little caretaking for a friend’s mother in West Palm Beach,
which gives me the joy of spending time with my daughter,
son-in-law and grandson everyday for a week! 

Daily life is filled and it is hard to find time to blog,
but I ran across this prayer and want to share it with you.

O God, our heavenly Father,
we your children come now to you with our requests.
We cannot live without your blessing.
Life is too hard for us and our task is too large.
We get discouraged, and our hands and head hang limp and despondent.
We come to you with our weakness, asking for your strength.
Help us to rejoice always.
Let us not be disheartened  by difficulties.
Let us never doubt your love or any of your promises.
Give us grace to be encouragers of others, never discouragers.
Let us not go about with sadness or fear among people,
but may we be your blessing to everyone we meet,
always making life easier, never harder, for those who come within our influence.
Help us to be as Christ to others,
that they may see something of His love in our lives and learn to love Him in us.
Please hear us and receive our prayer, and forgive our sin, for Jesus Christ’s sake, Amen.
