Amber and Jesse were here this weekend. They were blessed with a wonderful baby shower.
There was an adorable and yummy cake.
A beautiful and delicious lunch
And a shower of baby gifts.
Who says they don’t make cute boy things?!
Having Grandma there was extra special. Isn’t she beautiful.
And seeing friends, who we hadn’t seen in a long time was wonderful!
Fran and Amber have been friends since elementary school and Fran was a bridesmaid in Amber’s wedding. They had not seen each other since then! They could be sisters, wouldn’t you say?!
And my dear friend Debbie, drove two hours to share this time with us.
There was lots of girl-talk, catching up, and just plain love in the house.
And of course, lots of baby-belly rubbing… who can resist?
Baby Boy Jacobs is most active during the day, resting at night. Hope he keeps that schedule.
Thank you Kitty for opening your home (once again) and Veronica, Diana, Kim, Amber and Anne for all your work and attention to detail. It was a beautiful time. And to those who came and gave so generously…thank you. You have all blessed us so.
The rest of the weekend we just enjoyed being together… a little yard project and some soccer for the guys and baby stuff and a little shopping for us girls.
Mark finally felt his grandson move. He thinks he’s going to be a soccer player.
As a family we visited with Dad.
He was not having the best of days, but a walk outside seemed to help all of us.
Having Jesse as his “driver” made for a good deal of excitement. That wheelchair never went so fast!
And along our walk we saw this…
a beautiful hibiscus bush with blooms that were about 8 inches in diameter!
Made me think how grateful I am that God cares about little things like
flowers and babies and friendships.
Because it’s really the little things that are the big things in life.
