speechless

IMG_9532

I have been a “Nana” for almost three weeks now.

What a blessing it was to spend the first two weeks

of my grandson’s life with him and his parents.

IMG_9338

I have been back home for almost a week

and have been thinking every day

that I want to write, to gather my thoughts,

but am having a hard time

putting together words that mirror what my heart feels.

IMG_9642

How does one put into words the amazing miracle of life?

IMG_9311

Then how does one share what it feels like to witness

your daughter bring new life into this world…

IMG_9503

watching her embrace

the blessing and responsibility of motherhood

with such strength and patience?

IMG_9202

Can I use words to adequately explain the

joy and thankfulness

in watching my son-in-law,

IMG_9320

be amazed by the strength of his wife,

give love and support to her,

and fall deeply in love with a little boy,

they named Jaxson Cole?

IMG_9264

How do I explain the way this wee one,

so fresh from God,

opened a window into my soul?

IMG_9416

I wonder if my words could possibly describe the emotions

of sharing this new chapter with the love of my life?

IMG_9422

Could simple words express the joy in seeing

a sister and brother-in-law

drive through the night and miss work just to

IMG_9295

support her sister and hold her nephew

in the first minutes of his life?

IMG_9622

Yes Jaxson, I agree with you…they rock!

And so does your Mimi Beth, who also came to love on you.

IMG_9284

Where do I even begin to tell of the things

God has spoken to me through the birth of this precious gift?

IMG_9604

Things like

hope and grace,

faithfulness and compassion,

love and forgiveness,

patience and inheritance.

IMG_9648

I hope in the days to come I will find the words, but until then…

‘When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs.

When images become inadequate,

I shall be content with silence.”

~Ansel Adams

Jaxson { God has been gracious }

Indeed!

The Lord is faithful to all his promises

and loving toward all he has made.

  1. Ruthi – you have truly been blessed with the gift of pulling together just the right words, quotes, verses, and photos to make every entry a beautiful lesson that speaks to the heart. This is amazing and touching!
