pretty in pink

After this morning’s rain shower, I needed a break from my to-do list so I took a little walk around the yard. I love it after it rains. Everything is clean and fresh. It also seemed that most things blooming right now in our yard, are pink; the crepe myrtles, zinnias, hoyas, frangipani, my newest blooming orchid and even Mom’s ground orchid. So fitting since we are crazy with excitement about a sweet baby girl who will be joining our family any day now.

We’ve finished our sewing projects, including my first ever rag quilt for Baby Girl’s room. Joshua is talking a lot now. Looks like he is telling Baby Girl’s dolls something important. And by the look of things I would say Mama is about ready too. She and Mike have been busy nesting and getting things in order. We would love for Amber and family to be here for the big arrival but we know God’s timing is perfect and we rest in that. We covet your prayers for a safe and calm labor and delivery.

May your weekend be delightful and may God surprise you with His love and grace.
Encourage each other.
