Praise & Petitions

THANK YOU for your faithful prayers yesterday, as Dad was moved from Manatee Memorial Hospital to Westminister Towers. We prayed that Dad would remain calm and cooperative during the move. And God faithfully answered those prayers, because it could not have gone smoother.

Please CONTINUE to PRAY for him in this, yet another, transition of care.
Pray he will understand that those who are caring for him are there to help him.
Pray  those who are caring for him will learn quickly how best to meet his needs.
Pray for his safety, protection, comfort and peace.
Pray for Mom, as she continues to give him such loving care.
Pray God will give her strength and keep her healthy.
Pray we will learn how best to help Dad.

This is not an easy time. I must admit that at times it feels like my heart is being shredded. I am constantly needing to put God between me and the circumstances we are in. Yesterday I visited one of my favorite blogs, “This is Reverb” and wanted to share what he said, as it ministered to me.

“God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5
Just remember this: God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.
If this messes with your theology, crumples your chi,
un-centers your energy, or ruffles your karma… you might just need to examine who it is you’re truly following.
God loves you, and He’s pulling for you.
LOVE WINS [period]”

  1. Dear, dear Ruthi,
I know what it is like to be an only child and to be a daddy’s girl and to go through that loss. I am holding you close to my heart and praying for you and weeping with you.

He is faithful and He does give us the strength we need when we need it.

  2. We praise God for the smooth transfer and will pray for all your requessts.

As I read your words, I weep with you Ruthi. This is not an easy road to walk, but fortunately you know Who is walking it with you. He will shed His light at every turn and keep you secure in His love. His grace is sufficient.

Please pass our love to Art and Evy and let them know we are praying for them.
