Last August, at my parent’s “retirement” (shhh! don’t tell them I used that word!) celebration, they gave each guest the little book “God’s Promises For Your Every Need”. Dad has one in his room and it is read from often… either by Mom and I, friends or maybe even the caregivers. Yesterday while I was visiting with Dad, he was a bit restless… busy planning something in his mind… talking about a meeting, his bible, named a couple friends, etc. I handed him this little book and he held on to it tightly. Made me think how important it is to hold on to the promises God gives us. Especially when we come to a sharp unexpected bend in the road where our faith is put to the test.
God is my strength and power,
And He makes my way perfect.
2 Samuel 22:33
A wonderful truth to hang onto.

Hi Ruthi,
We were recipients of the God’s Promises books. I use it often – it even went to Kenya and back with me. Thanks for sharing the picture of Art holding on to God’s promises. It speaks volumns. His promises never fail, especially in the worst of times. Our God is faithful, all the time!
You all are in our prayers daily.
