stompin’ divots

After a great weekend in West Palm Beach with Jesse and Amber, we said good-bye and headed for home, back across the state. The center of the state is mostly farm/ranch land and I find it very quiet and beautiful. One day I will see if Mark will stop and let me capture it with my camera. We arrived back in Bradenton just  in time to crash attend Veronica’s birthday party.

Mike planned a fun gathering of 20+ friends at the Sarasota Polo Match.

Most of us had never been before, so it was quite exciting.

Not nearly as high falutin’ as I expected.

There was quite a spread of food,

puppies,

kids,

Clydesdales,

the most delicious chocolate birthday cake,

some chill time on a beautiful sunny afternoon,

and the occasional glance at men on horses.

We did get to stomp us some divots…

gave me an idea of what to do with all the “divots” in our yard created by one large dog named Max.

By the look of this photo, I would say Mike planned one of Veronica’s best birthdays ever.
